Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home by using a combined gross residence earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence income will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not post any evidence nsfas login of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or plan to research in a general public university or TVET nsfas application college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
